About TrishTrish Alexander has been a yoga practitioner since 1994 when she found herself in a yoga class due to chronic & acute back pain and eventually after consistent gentle practice she found relief from her pain and a surprising side effect - a deep sense of contentment and joy from going to yoga classes regularly and developing a home practice.
In 1998 Trish became a certified yoga teacher. Trish received her teaching qualifications through Integral Yoga (200 hours) and The Temple of Kriya Yoga (200 hours) but considers herself a student first and continues to expand her knowledge and fine tunes her teaching skills by attending workshops regularly to fulfill her CEU requirements, participating in online courses, as well as studying therapeutic yoga, yoga philosophy and astrology. However, she feels it is her daily practice of yoga that truly nourishes her soul on this journey of life. Trish loves to integrate the elements of nature and energy patterns of the universe into her classes to encourage connection and the recognition that we are a part of nature not apart from it. Also, she is very interested in sharing with her students the healing ability of yoga. She combines her trainings to tailor classes to suit the needs of her students using props for support as necessary. Trish is also certified to teach Kriya Yoga Meditation and Aqua Kriya Yoga. Trish is actively involved in Bermuda's yoga community and was one of the key organisers of Bermuda's first international yoga festival in April 2014 and was involved in the 2016 Bermuda Yoga Festival as a teacher and administrator. Trish also served on the Executive of the Yoga Teachers Association of Bermuda for many years. www.yogabermuda.com. Trish offers group and private classes on land and in the water. |
